No time like the present:finding freedom, love, and joy right where you are

You don’t have towait to be free.

You don’t need to postpone being happy.

你不必等着获得自由;

A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.

--Joan WalshAnglund

What do you planto do with this one wild and precious life?

--Mary Oliver

It is always now.Breathe.

Rest in spacioussilence. Trust.

And when you getup, let your actions arise out of stillness.

Resting in eternityyou will naturally know how to respond, create, embody.

永远都是此刻;呼吸;

在宽广的静默中停留;信任;

当你起身时,让你的行动从静谧中升起;

You wanna fly, yougot to give up the shit that weighs you down.

--Toni Morrison

Freedom does notmean fighting against or suppressing troubled emotions.

That would be anotherform of tyranny.

To be free,

you first need to be conscious of them and thenyou can learn to work with them wisely.

自由不是意味着要反抗或压抑烦恼的情绪;

Moving on means letting go of thoughts that obsess about the past,

letting go of betrayal, conflict,and disappointment.

Through forgiveness for ourselves and others,

we let it bepast.

We move on with the current of our life,

acknowledging what has happened withoutbeing limited by it.

You are not yet free.

You have merelyachieved the freedom to be free.

你并不自由;

--Nelson Mandela

We have so manyideas about how we should be and how the world should be, yet none of these isthe way things are. Human life is a tainted glory—messy, paradoxical, filledwith contradictions. The cloak of the world is woven with magnificence and limitation,triumph and disappointment, loss and eternal re-creation to seek some idea ofperfection puts us in conflict with the world.

All human beingsare also Dream Beings.

Dreaming ties all mankind together.

所有的人类都是梦想生物;

-- Jack Kerouac

Follow the grainin your own wood.

--Howard Thurman

A time of changehas come. We must listen deeply, bear witness, honor everyone, and choose our actionswisely and courageously. Don’t worry if the right action is not yet clear toyou. Wait in the unknowing with mindfulness and a clear heart, and soon theright time will come and you will know to stand up.

Now and then it’sgood to pause in your pursuit of happiness,

and just be happy.

--GuillaumeApollinaire

Freedom and joyare not grim duties or a withdrawal from life. They are the innate wonder ofspirit, the blessings of gratitude, the prayers of appreciation, the alivenessof being. They are the free heart rejoicing in the morning sunlight, the sturdygrasses and breath carried by the winds over the mountains. The world is atemple, a sanctuary, bathed even at night by the miraculous light of the oceanof stars that never stop shining upon us. Every meeting of eyes, every leafingoak, every taste of raspberry and warm-baked loaf is a blessing. These are thesacred notes in the symphony of life, the invitation to discover freedom, thejoyful magnificence of a free and loving heart. They are yours and everyone’sto share.
