The whole of science is nothing more than a refinement of everyday thinking.

Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.

Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love.

The mass of a body is a measure of its energy content.

When you sit on a stove for a minute, it seems like an hour; when you sit with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. That's relativity.

On quantum theory I use up more brain grease than on relativity.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

The formulation of a proplem is far more often essential than its solution, which may be merely a matter of mathematical or experimental skills. To raise new questions, new possibilities, to regard problems from a new angle requires creative imagination and markes real advances in science.

I think only bold speculation, not accumulation of facts, can lead us forward.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day.

As our circle of knowledge expands, so does the circumference of darknesssurrounding it.

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.

I have never looked upon ease and happiness as ends in themselves -- this critical basis I call the ideal of a pigsty.

It is harder to crack a prejudice than an atom.

Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.

如果A代表人生中的成功,则 A = x + y + z 。 If A is success in life, then A equals x plus y plus z. Work is x; y is play; and z is keeping your mouth shut.

Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.

The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.

Man can find meaning in life, short and perilousas it is, only through devoting himself to society.

Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.

For all, only love is the best teacher, it is far better than the responsibility.

All religions, arts and sciences are branches of the same tree. All these aspirations are directed toward ennobling man's life, lifting it from the sphere of mere physical existence and leading the individual towards freedom.

If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants. 」
