有尝试意思的成语【精选】

除非是天赋，否则学习都是循序渐进的，包括英语学习，其中英语单词的学习就是这样一个过程，先学习基本且常用的词汇，然后以此为基础不断拓展，渐渐地就能发现规律。

同样地，大家耳熟能详的是 try，它是发现一切未知世界的不可或缺的实践，缺少了它，人类寸步难行；如果要发现东西，那么 try 必须跟宾语，此时的宾语可以是动词不定式（to do sth）或动名词（doing sth），它们的形态不一样，内涵不尽相同。

你和内森谈过了吗？没有，我试着给他打电话，但占线。

a. Have you spoken to Nathan? No, I tried to call him but the line was engaged.

b. Have you spoken to Nathan? No, I tried calling him but the line was engaged.

解析：句 a 中的 tried to call him 表示说话者试图和他说话，而句 b 中的 tried calling 表示说话者认为打电话是一种可能的方式。

也许是因为 try 的普遍性或灵活性，降低了它的正式或权威，于是乎就诞生了 attempt；跟 try 一样，attempt 既可以作动词，也可以作名词，表示尝试做某事或做某事的尝试，例如：

You may not be able to achieve success on your first attempt, but you have to keep on trying.

你可能无法在第一次尝试中取得成功，但你必须继续尝试。

She failed the English test on the first attempt, but she succeeded on her second attempt.

她第一次英语考试不及格，但第二次考试成功了。

从以上例句可以看出，attempt 通常与不成功的尝试关联，这也是它跟 try 的主要区别之一；当 attempt 作动词时，所接的只有动词不定式，这一点也跟 try 严格区分开来，此时的 attempt to do sth 和 try to do sth 的意思基本上是一样的，例如：

其实 attempt 优先作名词使用，此时它后面可以接不定式作定语，而 try 通常不这样用，而且 try 作名词时常用单数，例如：

但是作名词的 attempt 和 try 后面都可以用于搭配 attempt/try at sth (doing sth) 中，例如：

The couple made an unsuccessful attempt at a compromise.

这对夫妇试图和解但未成功。

当作名词时，我们通常会说 give it a try 或 have a try，但不说 give it an attempt 或 have an attempt，例如：

I don't think I'll be any good at tennis, but I'll give it a try .

我不认为我有打网球的特长，但是我会试一试。

当作动词时，try 可以置于句子的结尾，而 attempt 不行，顾名思义，attempt 是一个及物动词，必须接宾语，例如：
